Knitted from the top down, it features a fitted silhouette and neat finishing details. The back is worked flat first up to the armholes. Stitches are then picked up to shape the shoulders and neckline of the fronts, which are worked separately to the armholes. Finally, the back and fronts are joined and worked as one piece to the desired length. Stitches are then picked up to create the ribbed edges and button bands.

Work a gauge swatch before starting your top. The Danish Top is designed to be worn with 3 cm of negative ease. Therefore, choose the bust size that most closely corresponds to your actual bust measurement minus 3 cm of negative ease.
Sizes: XS / S / M / L / XL / 2XL / 3XL / 4XL / 5XL
Bust circumference: 79 / 84 / 89 / 94 / 99 / 104 / 109 / 114 / 119 cm with 3 cm of negative ease.
Recommended length: 51 / 52 / 53 / 54 / 55 / 56.5 / 57 / 58 / 58 cm.
Gauge (washed and blocked): 10 x 10 cm: 28 sts x 35 rows using 3 mm needles.
Suggested needles: 3 mm circular needle, 80 cm. 2.5 mm circular needles, 40 cm and 80 cm (or only 80 cm using the magic loop technique).
Notions: stitch markers, row counter, spare needles, 7–8 buttons, 9 mm in diameter.
