The Umbria Summer Top is a cardigan style top that is worked top down. First, the neck band is worked in rib. Then the yoke is worked back and forth in pattern with raglan increases while the button bands are worked simultaneously. When the yoke is done, the sleeves are divided from the body and the body is worked with a few decreases. Then the sleeves are worked in the round and bound off with the same technique that is used for the body.

This pattern is designed to have 2-10cm / 0¾-4” of positive ease. The sizes (2XS) XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL are meant to fit to bust circumferences (75-80) 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-105 (105-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140cm / (29½-31½) 31½-33½ (33½-35½) 35½-37½ (37½-39¼) 39¼-41¼ (41¼-43¼) 43¼-47¼ (47¼-51¼) 51¼-55”. For example, the model in the photos has a bust of 90cm / 35½”, and wears a size XS (brown) with 0cm / 0” of ease and a size S (white) with 7cm / 2¾” of ease.
