Shop yarn by weight
Many projects will include a recommended yarn, but it’s not strictly necessary to follow your
pattern verbatim. As long as your yarn weight matches the yarn used in your pattern, your project
should work up the same! Make sure to calculate the metres or yards needed for your project, not
just the grams, as the weight can vary from brand to brand.

Lace and mohair: the finest yarns, for lace work, shawls, or as a soft halo held with another yarn.

Fingering: a versatile fine yarn used in a multitude of projects such as sweaters and baby
garments, or held with a mohair for extra warmth!

Sock yarn: A fingering weight wool mixed with nylon for durability.

Worsted & Aran: the classic sweater weight, quick to knit and great for learning.
